Elton Stroh

Ministry Integrator

What do you do?

I work primarily with Area of Ministry leaders to assist them in carrying out the vision and plans of the congregation.

How did you come to St. Andrew?

Prior to launching Crossroads Consulting Ministry, Elton served as a parish pastor and directed WELS Parish Assistance – a consulting ministry that became a blessing to about 500 congregations. He also conducted the Turnaround Churches in the WELS research project.

What is your favorite Bible verse?

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

Tell us about your family

Elton is married to Gail, a horticulturist employed at The Bruce Company. Both were raised on farms and enjoy the outdoors. Elton and Gail have two married children, a son and a daughter, and nine grandchildren. One family resides in Pewaukee and the other in Big Bend, which makes family gatherings convenient.

What is your favorite vacation location?

Northern Wisconsin (with a fishing pole in my hand)

Where did you receive your training?

Elton received a B.A. degree from Northwestern College (1974), a M.Div. degree from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary (1978), and a D.Min. degree (leadership and ministry management) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (2014).
