Monthly Mission Partner
WELS Christian Aid & Relief is our monthly mission partner for September.
WELS Christian Aid & Relief team members help others in disaster relief and humanitarian aid situations and spread the gospel around the world. Your donations go directly to support this critical ministry.
Do you enjoy digital media?
Part of our Service and Outreach ministry mission addresses tracking our connection cards and updating Facebook postings, our website, Instagram, etc. We haven’t given up on print yet, but the world is transitioning to digital media at an ever-increasing pace. Our connection ministry is one part of Service and Outreach, and those who make it happen are among our priceless volunteers. We are looking for someone to assist with this ministry opportunity—could that be you? Contact Curt Kephart.
Planning our Thanksgiving giving
Planning is already underway to support our Thanksgiving outreach service to Madison Outreach Ministry in Middleton (affectionately called MOM). This year, as we have done in the past, we will sponsor food contributions to MOM from the end of October up until the second week in November. We will look for specific items to help others have a blessed Thanksgiving. An additional coordinator for this year’s campaign would be great! Is that you? Contact Curt Kephart for more information.
Are your gifts unwrapped?
God provides spiritual gifts and talents for us to use our hands and hearts in service to others. Some people like to work with their hands, others like to work with people, and others enjoy technology. Most of us are not restricted to just one gift. Have you noticed a volunteer at St. Andrew and thought, “I could do that”? Are you waiting to be asked? Waiting to be mentored? Consider it done. If you have not filled out the volunteer Connect|Serve|Impact Survey on CCB, please do so. We also have paper copies at the Welcome Center. If you have filled it out and were not contacted, please let us know. God has given you good gifts to serve, and we want to help you do that.
Our growing landscape
Many volunteers are helping the new grass and trees get a good head start. Mike Eberle, Aaron Faessler, Bob Lund, John and Shelly Schmoller, Keith and Dorothy Beck, and many others are working day and night to keep our landscape looking great. We are blessed with willing hands and hearts to make this property reflect our caring for God’s creation. Words alone cannot express our gratitude for their willingness to pitch in and do whatever it takes. Thank you!
