This Week

A righteous man
“Righteous” is a word that usually has either a theological connotation or “self-” in front of it. Genesis 6 describes Noah as righteous and blameless. Read the chapter and see his actions. He didn’t say a word, but he acted. But these actions showed his righteousness; they didn’t establish it. Like ours, Noah’s righteousness was through God. Like Noah, our righteousness results in God-pleasing action. Join us to worship and learn from our righteous God Thursday night at 7 or Sunday morning at 8 or 10:30.

Events and ministry news needing immediate attention

New members of the St. Andrew family
By God’s grace, St. Andrew is a growing church. Between babies being born and new families joining, remembering all the new names and faces can be challenging. Please continue to extend welcoming kindness and love to the newest members of our family: Michael and Greta Kock and their children Scott, Kristen, and Sam; John and Jan Liermann (not pictured); Daniel and Beth Plath; Jim and Jeaneen Roelke; Nathaniel and Cassie Samz and their children Calvin, Adelyn, and Corinne; and Patrick and Jessica Tokarski.

Service & Outreach

Opportunities for you to live your faith and love for Jesus by sharing Jesus with others

Coming soon! Changes to electronic giving
Coming this October the St. Andrew electronic giving platform is transitioning to a new company, PushPay. As a part of this transition, you will receive emails from PushPay and members of the St. Andrew Financial team: Dick Bernards, Amy Hutter, Ron Kerr, and Todd Ninman. Please read through the emails and follow the directions to set up your giving profile and account. If you do not give electronically, you do not have to do anything. More information about the transition will be emailed to you the week of October 7. Electronic giving using the PushPay platform will begin October 13. Email [email protected] with any questions.

Service opportunity | housekeeping
The daily operations of St. Andrew ministry come with a need for regular cleaning and tidying. We are looking for people to help in this service, specifically on Sundays after worship and after events, including sports and weddings. We’ll show you what to do, and you can serve as much or as little as you like. Contact Pastor Clinton if interested.

Mission t-shirts available
The mission trip teams received many compliments on their shirts. What will happen if you wear one in the community? Maybe it will create an opportunity for you to talk about your faith or your church. The team ordered some extras that can now be yours. Grab one in the atrium before or after worship this weekend. Donations will go toward future mission trips.

School bus route driver opportunity
The St. Andrew/Our Redeemer bus route to Lakeside Lutheran High School is looking for a driver for both before and after school routes. Every school day, you leave St. Andrew at 6:35 AM. LLHS provides a vehicle for travel back home. In the afternoon, you return to Lakeside to depart by 3:15 PM, driving the bus back to St. Andrew, arriving about 4:15 PM. No experience is required, training is provided, and test fees are paid. Contact Transportation Manager Eric Haley ([email protected]) for more information.

Monthly Mission Partner
Our September Mission Partner is our Ministerial Education Fund. This is St. Andrew’s effort to ease the financial burden of those attending schools that prepare them for the public full-time ministry. Please pray for all who desire to serve in full-time public ministry roles. Here’s a video that features two St. Andrew members in this ministry pipeline.

Westside Christian School

A ministry of St. Andrew, preparing students for academic success and lives of Christian service founded on God’s Word

Westside Stride
The excitement on campus was alive and very visible on Friday, September 20, as volunteers, students, parents, and staff prepared for the annual Westside Stride. Parents, grandparents, friends, and family showed up to cheer on the students and staff as they ran their laps. God gave us perfect weather, and the Friends of Westside provided snacks and water for the runners. It was such a blessing to watch students come out of the building as other groups of students cheered them on! It was one of those, “can’t wait until next year” kind of days!

Special thanks to the Friends of Westside and the many volunteers it took to pull this off. You all did a great job!!
