This Week
Flood lessons
Do you stand by the microwave and tap your fingers? Is your finger ready on the horn if the car ahead of you doesn’t move on green? Most of us aren’t very patient. God is. Genesis 6 – 9 not only leads us to a deeper understanding of God’s covenant of grace, but along the way we grow to appreciate his patience. Read Genesis 7 and gather with the saints in the ark of God’s grace on Thursday at 7 PM or Sunday at 8 or 10:30 AM. We’ll learn valuable lessons about ourselves and even more valuable lessons about God.

Worship
Resources and opportunities for you to worship
Livestream this weekend
If you are unable to make it to worship this weekend, we will be offering a livestream option at both the 8:00 and 10:30 AM services this Sunday, October 6. This is just a trial run, so if you make use of the online option this weekend, please note on your online check-in which service you livestreamed. Any questions? Reach out to Minister of Worship Naomi Laabs ( naomi.laabs@st-andrew-online.org).
Testimonies of gratitude
God’s grace and his blessings are new every day. If you find yourself swept away with gratitude, consider being video interviewed for our Thanksgiving worship services. It won’t take long, and it doesn’t have to be scripted. Pastor Hunter will simply sit with you and have a conversation about gratitude and your reasons for it. If you’re interested, send a note to [email protected], or write it on your Connection Card. We’ll follow up and schedule a time that works for you.

Mission t-shirts almost gone
If you would like to add one of these to your wardrobe and maybe create an opportunity to talk about your faith or your church, contact Pastor Clinton right away, as we only have a few mediums left. Any donations will go toward future mission trips.

Service opportunity | housekeeping
The daily operations of St. Andrew ministry come with a need for regular cleaning and tidying. We are looking for people to help in this service, specifically on Sundays after worship and after events, including sports and weddings. We’ll show you what to do, and you can serve as much or as little as you like. Contact Pastor Clinton if interested.
School bus route driver opportunity
The St. Andrew/Our Redeemer bus route to Lakeside Lutheran High School is looking for a driver for both before and after school routes. Every school day, you leave St. Andrew at 6:35 AM. LLHS provides a vehicle for travel back home. In the afternoon, you return to Lakeside to depart by 3:15 PM, driving the bus back to St. Andrew, arriving about 4:15 PM. No experience is required, training is provided, and test fees are paid. Contact Transportation Manager Eric Haley for more information.
WELS Connection
Every month, our church body releases a video to highlight a specific project or ministry of some of our brothers and sisters in faith. Last month’s video explains some of the resources available to those serving abroad in the military, particularly in Europe. This vital ministry allows these men and women doing this important work to have a live faith community. More info can be found at wels.net/military.

Westside Christian School
A ministry of St. Andrew, preparing students for academic success and lives of Christian service founded on God’s Word
Partnerships are a blessing
Partnerships can be a wonderful blessing when you have two groups that work for the same purpose. Westside Christian School often refers to a partnership we have with our parents. Even though Westside is responsible for the education of the children at school, it cannot be done without a solid partnership with parents.
Westside Christian School also has a great partner in Lakeside Lutheran High School. Each year a group of graduates from Westside and their parents become part of this partnership. These families overcome such obstacles as distance, time, and sometimes weather to make this partnership work. But they do, and they reap the benefits.
Last week, Steve Lauber spoke with the 8th grade students first and then to all the Westside students. He encouraged students to continue their relationship with Jesus. One way in which this can be done is to partner with Lakeside Lutheran.
What a blessing to have the option and opportunity for Christian education through high school! |
