This Week

The right of way
Have you seen a little quiz or game that asks you what road sign most accurately describes you? Maybe those in the throes of raising children can relate best to speed limit – 70 (or 140)Perhaps a series of rejections in life has you feeling like your motto is do not enter. But when Romans 9 describes God, only one response (and road sign) seems appropriate. Find out which one this weekend. Worship with us Thursday night at 7 or Sunday morning at 8 or 10:30.

Highlights

Events and ministry news needing immediate attention

Called worker farewell
Two of our Westside Christian School called workers will be leaving their WCS roles and joining new ministries this summer. Mrs. Meredith Pucci will be the curriculum director for schools in the general area. Ms. Kim Gnewuch will be teaching grades 3 – 4 at Abiding Peace Academy in Simpsonville, South Carolina. How blessed have we and so many been by their service. They will be acknowledged in worship during both services at St. Andrew on Sunday. There are gift boxes in the atrium for each.

Resources and opportunities for you to worship

Summer travel plans?
With Memorial Day weekend being the unofficial start of summer, it’s a good time to review all our worship options. Join us for worship on Thursdays at 7 PM if your summer plans take you away for the weekend. Catch our livestream service at 10:30 AM on our St. Andrew website (st-andrew-online.org) to worship with us remotely while traveling. Or join us in person at 8:00 or 10:30 AM on Sunday mornings.

Worship check-in
If you worship on-site, please fill out the Connection Card attached to your worship folder. Online worshipers, please continue to check in here.

Weekend worship songs
Preview some of the songs we will use for worship this weekend. Obviously ours won’t sound exactly like this, but listening to the links provided will certainly help you be more comfortable participating in the service.

Nurture

Ways to be connected to Jesus throughout the week in your personal life and with others

Impact
There is no better grower of fruit than the Holy Spirit. He produces fruit through the Word of God. This fruit shows itself in the Christian’s life. Listen to part two with Pastor Colin Wenzel on Galatians 5. You can listen to Impact here or wherever you find podcasts by searching “Kjenstad Impact.”

St. Andrew Summer Camp | Jesus in Everything
Children entering kindergarten – grade 6 are encouraged to attend St. Andrew Summer Camp! This year’s camp offers a fun variety of activities, and Jesus will be in everything. The dates are July 8 – 11. Go here for more information and to register.

LifeBoat
LifeBoat is the name of a new group for St. Andrew teens. LifeBoat is for grades 7 – 10 and meets the first and third Sunday evenings of every month from 5:30 – 7:30 PM. A typical evening is food, play, and Jesus. For location and more information, contact LifeBoat leaders Jess Bohl or Hilary Griswold.

Service & Outreach

Opportunities for you to live your faith and love for Jesus by sharing Jesus with others

Adult mission trip to Brandon, South Dakota | August 21 – 25
This trip will be finalizing soon, so get your application in right away. Find details and apply here.

Service opportunities | A/V for worship services
These duties are vital to hundreds of worshipers in person and online. It sounds daunting and technical, but it’s not so bad. And you will be trained so that you are confident in your craft. Consider serving as a Slide Tech, Audio Tech, or Livestream Videographer. Contact Pastor Clinton to get involved.

Service opportunities | summer camp leaders
Jesus in Everything summer camp is July 8 – 11 and will include many opportunities to serve. Contact Pastor Clinton or Mark Kjenstad to find out how you can serve. One specific opportunity that might interest you is taking the lead in the drama department.

Monthly Mission Partner
June’s Monthly Mission Partner is WELS UK. Over the summer months, many volunteers will be in London spreading the word to help establish this mission. St. Andrew is participating in this synod-wide effort by sending three individuals in July.
