This Week
Marriage, divorce, and singleness
Worship continues this weekend in the gymnasium. Besides the change of worship location, many things remain the same, including parking, service times, worship flow, etc. We will keep you updated on any significant changes.
This week, we are back in the book of Matthew. Whatever stage of life you are in, Jesus has a lot to teach you! Join us Thursday at 7 or Sunday morning at 8 or 10:30.

Highlights
Events and ministry news needing immediate attention
Call meeting
Our next call meeting for Pastor for Outreach will be Thursday, May 28, at 5:45 PM. We regularly use the term “call” or “divine call,” but we don’t always explain it. You might benefit from reading an article WELS President Mark Schroeder recently wrote called “ Understanding the divine call.”
No power in the building June 1 – 3
Part of the construction process involves switching out our current electric box to a new one capable of powering both the new and the old building. We will also need to connect the buildings. In order to do this, the power to the entire building will be out from June 1 to 3. Please note that this means the door access keypads will not work, and staff will not be able to be onsite. Please plan accordingly if this may affect you. For emergencies, please email Pastor Clinton or [email protected] or text 608-515-8315. Thanks for your patience as we finish out the building project.

A Place of Peace
Updates related to the ministry expansion and building project
Construction update
We give thanks for the many people who helped us empty the former sanctuary, put things into storage, and set up the gym for our temporary sanctuary. As we say goodbye, finishing touches continue in the new sanctuary and additional spaces. Below are some of the tile finishes that went in last week. Praise God for all these spaces!

Update | A Place of Peace giving
One year into the campaign, which had a goal of $7,500,000, pledged donations stand at $8,035,123 with $3,389,948.29 already received. Praise God! These funds have and will continue to build a place where God’s peace will be proclaimed and lived.
Even if you did not make a formal pledge, you can still give. The actual cost is around $11,000,000, so a mortgage is part of this, but the less debt and the sooner it goes away, the more ministry. Giving can be set up like other offerings using “A Place of Peace” as the “Fund” or memo line, or check “Ministry Expansion” on your St. Andrew offering envelope.

Worship
Resources and opportunities for you to worship
Summer travel plans?
With Memorial Day being the unofficial start of summer, it’s a good time to review all our worship options. Join us for worship on Thursdays at 7 PM if your summer plans take you away for the weekend. Catch our livestream service at 8 AM on our St. Andrew website ( st-andrew-online.org) to worship with us remotely while traveling. Or join us in person at 8:00 or 10:30 AM on Sunday mornings.
Worship check-in
If you worship on-site, please fill out the Connection Card attached to your worship folder. Online worshipers, please continue to check in here.
Weekend worship songs
Preview some of the songs we will use for worship on Sunday. Obviously ours won’t sound exactly like this, but listening to the links provided will certainly help you be more comfortable participating in the service.

Nurture
Ways to be connected to Jesus throughout the week in your personal life and with others
Summer Growth Groups
Growth Groups are on a short break as we make the move from spring to summer, but they are coming back soon, so now is the time to sign up. There is a golfing group, a moms’ group, a breakfast group, and a few more to choose from. See what works for you. You can sign up in the atrium or right here.
Stuff Swap
We all have a lot of stuff that we don’t need anymore. Here’s a chance to take that stuff and swap it for stuff you do need. Our Moms’ Growth Group is having a Kids and Family Stuff Swap on Saturday, June 27, from 9 AM – 12 PM at St. Andrew. Signs in the atrium provide more details. The best part? There will be a free will donation benefiting Care Net Pregnancy Center of Dane County. The second best part? Coffee and bagels will be available while you swap.
Follow Me
There will be no science camp this summer due to construction, but we are inviting children to Follow Me—A Summer Day with Jesus. Children in kindergarten – grade 6 are invited to Garner Park (333 S. Rosa Rd., Madison) on Wednesday, July 8, to follow Jesus. Children can be dropped off after 3:15 PM for a 3:30 PM start. At 5:30 PM, parents are invited to return for a hot dog cookout and celebration service. Register HERE. If your 7th or 8th grade student would like to help at the event, contact Children’s Ministry Director Emma Nolte at [email protected].org.
Impact
Hell is real. Hell is beyond our imagination. Hell is what we deserve. Hell is this week’s topic. You can listen to Impact here or by searching for “Kjenstad Impact” wherever you listen to podcasts.

Service & Outreach
Opportunities for you to live your faith and love for Jesus by sharing Jesus with others
One body, many members
We are servants, not consumers. One way to tell St. Andrew leadership how you might be willing to serve is through a thorough survey. If you have not taken it or your abilities and availability have significantly changed, please complete the One Body, Many Members survey.
Professional counseling available
May has been observed as Mental Health Awareness Month. Did you know that St. Andrew partners with Christian Family Solutions to offer counseling, including for mental health? You can find out more about CFS at christianfamilysolutions.org, or contact Pastor Clinton for more information. All counseling situations are kept confidential.
LWMS Convention June 25 – 28 | Register by June 1
The 63rd Annual Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society Convention will be at Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in Madison. It features workshops, devotions, fellowship, and much more. There will also be many opportunities to serve both before and during; if you are interested in serving, please contact Amanda Taticek. Visit 63.lwms.org for more information about the convention and to register. Registration is due June 1.
Monthly Mission Partner
Our May partner is the WELS mission work in the Boise, Idaho, area where Pastor Randy Hunter, a St. Andrew member and former St. Andrew pastor, is serving as a mission developer. Watch his short video.
