This Week

Festival of Palm Sunday
Jesus on a donkey . . . crowds shouting praise . . . palm branches on the road. The crowd on the first Palm Sunday welcomed Jesus as a hero and a king. He deserved every bit of it and oh, so much more. This Thursday or Sunday join brothers and sisters to hail Jesus as our hero and king. Sing hosanna and wave a palm branch for what Jesus has come to do: accomplish your salvation. Thursday at 7:00 PM and Sunday at 8:00 and 10:30 AM.

Small Talk
It’s about time for another episode of Small Talk. We are excited to release an all-new episode next week during Holy Week. Until then, here is a past Easter episode to enjoy all over again.

Impact
The true story of Ruth starts off with profound sadness that leads into one of the greatest cluster of verses in all of Scripture, this according to our guest, Dr. Mark Paustian from Martin Luther College. Enjoy Ruth chapter one. You can listen to Impact here or wherever you find podcasts by searching “Kjenstad Impact.”

PowerHour
Children up to age 3 and their caregivers are invited to the next PowerHour. Join us on Friday, April 5, at 10:30 AM in the St. Andrew gym. The theme is “The Five Senses.” Click here for more information on PowerHour.

Children’s Ministries
All Sunday morning children ministries resume on March 24. That includes Musikgarten, Plugged into Jesus, and Spark. These ministries provide children a foundation for a lifetime of growing in God’s Word.

Opportunities across several days abound, but they are filled on a first come, first served basis. Make sure to choose “St Andrew Evangelical Lutheran Church” as the organization you are volunteering for. Contact minimissions@st-andrew-online.org with any questions.

Service opportunity | Culver’s Share Night April 23
Culver’s Share Night is an opportunity to raise mission trip funds. Both patrons and volunteers will be essential. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and can work any number of one-hour segments from 5 – 8 PM. Sign up here.

Westside Christian School

A ministry of St. Andrew, preparing students for academic success and lives of Christian service founded on God’s Word

Call meeting
St. Andrew has a wonderful opportunity to call the wife of our new principal, Mrs. Beth Plath, to serve as a teacher in our ministry of Westside Christian School. Mrs. Plath is highly regarded, and her preferences for teaching fit the 3rd grade teacher position left vacant by Ms. Gnewuch’s acceptance of a call to Simpsonville, South Carolina. The Board of Directors will convene a special voters’ meeting at 11:45 AM on Sunday, March 24, with one agenda item: extending a call to Mrs. Plath to teach 3rd grade. All are welcome to attend.
