This Week

Unable
“Unable” is a defeating word. It is often used to soften bad news. It often comes as a blow to the pride of humans who like to be able. This week, we can see ourselves in Jesus’ disciples’ inability as they fail in Matthew 17. But instead of giving them too much focus, we turn our eyes to the one who is able. Join us for worship Thursday night at 7 or Sunday morning at 8 or 10:30.

A Place of Peace

Updates related to the ministry expansion and building project

Construction update
Last week the ceiling of the new sanctuary was painted before the acoustical cloud ceiling goes in. In order for the cables, lights, and speaker to blend in and not be noticeable, everything above the acoustical cloud ceiling was painted dark. It’s also fun to see the paint colors on all the walls.

A Place of Peace giving
Giving can be set up like other offerings. Go to “Give” at the website, and you can set up a one-time or recurring gift. Choose “A Place of Peace” as the “Fund.” If using a check, please put “A Place of Peace” in the memo line. If using St. Andrew offering envelopes, use the designation “Ministry Expansion.”

Even if you didn’t make a formal pledge, you can still give. Every bit helps, as St. Andrew will still carry some debt, and the less debt, the more ministry.

Impact
The story of Judas personifies the lure of sin and its cost. Pastor Nathan Wordell is on staff at Wisconsin Lutheran College and he is here to help us better understand this puzzling and tragic account. You can listen to Impact here or by searching for “Kjenstad Impact” wherever you listen to podcasts.

PowerHour
Due to spring break at Westside, there is no PowerHour on March 20. The next PowerHour is Friday, March 27, with an Easter theme. PowerHour is for parents and their young children. It begins at 10:15 AM in the St. Andrew gym. For more information on PowerHour, click here.
