This Week

Remnant response
Do you know any World War II veterans? Probably not—few are left. Maybe you are part of a group that you would call a remnant. It could be original homeowners in your neighborhood. It could be smartphone holdouts. At one point in our world, 100% of the population knew the true God. That makes you part of a remnant. At times, that reality confronts you starkly. What is your response? Let’s study Romans 11 together and develop one. Join us Thursday night at 7 or Sunday morning at 8 or 10:30.

2024-25 Comprehensive Ministry Plan and Budget
Thank you to all who helped create the 3-year picture, 7-year targets, Annual Plan, and the 2024-2025 Comprehensive Ministry Plan and Budget. Last week, ministry leaders took us on an exciting journey through the plans. This week, now that we’ve reviewed them, the voting members of St. Andrew are asked to authorize them. After that, we’ll ask the Lord’s continued direction and blessing and then get after accomplishing them! The other two items on the agenda are 1) electing three new Board members: John Kamin (President), Jamie Lundgren (Vice-President) and Tyler Simmons and 2) calling Mrs. Jessica Bohl as a part-time teacher in our ministry of Westside Christian School. The meeting will begin at 11:45 AM in the sanctuary. Review the 2024 Annual Plan, Three-Year Vision, Seven-Year Targets, and 2024 – 2025 Comprehensive Ministry Plan & Budget here.

Worship

Resources and opportunities for you to worship

Summer Camp Celebration Service
Summer Camp is quickly approaching, and we are excitedly getting ready to welcome the children for a week of fun learning about Jesus. On Thursday, July 11, we will culminate our week with a special service celebrating the great things the Lord did throughout the week. Please note this Thursday service will be at 6:30 PM, not 7 PM as we normally do on Thursday evenings. St. Andrew members are welcome to come and celebrate with us at this special service and help us make our guests feel welcome.

Worship check-in
If you worship on-site, please fill out the Connection Card attached to your worship folder. Online worshipers, please continue to check in here.

Weekend worship songs
Preview some of the songs we will use for worship this weekend. Obviously ours won’t sound exactly like this, but listening to the links provided will certainly help you be more comfortable participating in the service.

Ways to be connected to Jesus throughout the week in your personal life and with others

St. Andrew Summer Camp | Jesus in Everything
Children entering kindergarten – grade 6 are encouraged to attend St. Andrew Summer Camp! This year’s camp offers a fun variety of activities, and Jesus will be in everything. The dates are July 8 – 11. Go here for more information and to register. Please register by June 23.

Morning for Your Marriage
9 AM – 11 AM, Saturday, July 13
A study of 50,000 couples showed that one of the most significant distinctions between happy and unhappy couples is how they handle conflict. Join other married couples to learn and practice two important things to help manage conflict in ways that build intimacy, honor Jesus, and bring joy to each other.

Registration is required both for the event and for childcare. Registration will close one week before the event on Sunday, July 7. Arrival time begins at 8:30 AM. Enjoy a beverage, fruit, and pastries, and get the kiddos settled in with their caregivers so we can begin at 9 AM. Guests are welcome, and so are children. If you’d like to help provide care for the children while their parents are building their marriages, please message [email protected] or write it on your Connection Card in church.

Pre-Marriage Workshop
You put time into planning for the dress, the band, the menu, the seating, the invitations, etc. And as good as it all is, it will all be gone a couple hours after you say your vows. Your marriage, though, remains. Plenty of wedding planning experts and websites offer to help you plan your wedding. Let us help you plan for a marriage that honors God and a lifetime of bringing joy to your spouse. St. Andrew offers two Pre-Marriage Workshops each year to our community. The next one is on Saturday, July 20, beginning with continental breakfast at 8:30 AM and concluding by 4:00 PM. If you’re engaged, you can register now. Registration closes on Sunday, July 14. This isn’t just for people of St. Andrew. Forward this invitation and the link to engaged couples you know who want to gain valuable skills for a Christian marriage.

Impact
The Bible says Christians have died, but it also says Christians are alive. The place is Colossians 3. The reason is Jesus. Listen to Professor Kyle Bitter from Luther Preparatory School explain. Tune in to Impact by searching “Kjenstad Impact” or click here.

LifeBoat
LifeBoat is having a pool party! This grades 7 – 10 ministry is ready to celebrate summer. Join the fun on June 23, 4 – 7 PM, at the Savannah Pool in Waunakee. Food will be provided, and you may bring a friend. Contact Jess Bohl or Hilary Griswold to RSVP.

Service & Outreach

Opportunities for you to live your faith and love for Jesus by sharing Jesus with others

Service opportunities | summer camp leaders
Jesus in Everything summer camp is July 8 – 11 and will include many opportunities to serve. Contact Pastor Clinton (clinton.kreuziger@st-andrew-online.org) or Mark Kjenstad (mark.kjenstad@st-andrew-online.org) to find out how you can serve.

One body, many members
1 Corinthians 12 says the church is like a body. It is one, but it is made of many unique parts with specific roles. St. Andrew has been blessed with many personalities, spiritual gifts, and skillsets. We want you to be blessed and be a blessing to others by serving in accordance with yours. St. Andrew’s ministry plan for the next twelve months will go into effect next month, so now is a great time to submit your One Body, Many Members survey to help determine how you can serve.

New called workers joining Westside staff
Dan and Beth Plath have arrived in Wisconsin. Krista Simmons moved here several years ago, but all three are excited to begin their new roles at Westside Christian School. As part of our effort to welcome them to the ministry, card boxes will be in the atrium over the next weeks. Feel free to drop a gift and/or card of encouragement. We are also planning an afternoon event on August 18. More details on that to come.

Monthly Mission Partner
June’s Monthly Mission Partner is WELS UK. Over the summer months, many volunteers will be in London spreading the word to help establish this mission. St. Andrew is participating in this synod-wide effort by sending three individuals in July.
