This Week
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord
Americans love to celebrate. Look no further than this past weekend, as our nation celebrated its 250th birthday with parades, fireworks displays, and more. This weekend in worship, we celebrate as well. Not a championship or a birthday, but rather Christ’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem. While we celebrate our mighty King, we also marvel at his humility – knowing that the One who rode into Jerusalem is the One who came to pay for our sins and gain for us a salvation we could never earn on our own. Join us for worship on Thursday at 7 PM or Sunday at 8 or 10:30 AM.

Events and ministry news needing immediate attention
Call meeting August 13
We will be calling for a Pastor for Outreach on Thursday, August 13, at 5:45 PM. Western Wisconsin District President Mike Jensen will provide a list of candidates who are eligible to receive a call and whom he believes may be a good fit for St. Andrew, based on his knowledge of our ministry. After open discussion, the voters will select a candidate to extend the call.

A Place of Peace giving
What a blessing to be so close to occupying and utilizing the new spaces, thanks to God’s work through so many contributors who allowed us to exceed our campaign goal of $7,500,000. If you’re new to this and would like to contribute, giving can be set up like other offerings using “A Place of Peace” as the “Fund” or memo line, or check “Ministry Expansion” on your St. Andrew offering envelope. Contact Financial Administrator Ron Kerr with further questions.

Nurture
Ways to be connected to Jesus throughout the week in your personal life and with others
Children’s Ministry Director
We are pleased to welcome back Mrs. Yvonne Onsager as St. Andrew Children’s Ministry Director. Mrs. Onsager will work with Minister for Nurture Mark Kjenstad. Please welcome her back to the role she served so well in 2024-25, and say a prayer that God will guide and bless her service.

Sanctuary chairs
Would you like a piece of St. Andrew history? The green chairs have served us well for many years, but they will not be moving into our new sanctuary. Many of them will be available to you in mid-August. Contact Minister for Nurture Mark Kjenstad if you are interested in owning one or more.
Impact podcast
“Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” What if he is not willing? This week we explore that question and more with Mr. Eric Dorn, a teacher of God’s Word at Lakeside Lutheran High School. You can listen to Impact here or by searching for “Kjenstad Impact” wherever you listen to podcasts.

Service & Outreach
Opportunities for you to live your faith and love for Jesus by sharing Jesus with others
Service opportunity | Moving help
Help our new Westside Christian School teacher Hannah Zabel unload and unpack. Her belongings arrive in Middleton on Monday, July 13. Contact Pastor Clinton ( clinton.kreuziger@st-andrew-online.org) if you can help.
Service opportunity | Outdoor grounds project
We need to move some dirt! If you’d like to get outside on a Saturday or Sunday (TBD) to work with your hands, a shovel, and maybe a wheelbarrow, please contact Pastor Clinton with your available dates and times. A small crew should be able to knock it out pretty quickly.
Care box assembly party | August 23 at 9:15
Women of St. Andrew are invited to a miscarriage and infant loss awareness event and service project. There will be refreshments, a presentation by Rachel Greiner from Christian Life Resources, and an opportunity to serve by helping assemble care boxes for those who have experienced miscarriage or infant loss. Please confirm your attendance here.
Women serving women
Some women recently met to discuss ways to better connect, encourage, and support the women of our church family. We are assembling a group of women willing to help when needs arise, whether that’s sending a card, making a phone call, praying, providing a meal, visiting, or another act of kindness. If you’d like to be included, complete this simple form.
Monthly Mission Partner
July’s partner is Christian Aid & Relief, an organization of our church body whose mission is to reflect Christ’s love and compassion to souls suffering from disasters and hardships. Their work crosses state and national borders. For more information, visit wels.net/relief.
