This Week

Come a long way to follow him
That’s what the wise men, or magi, did. Join us to celebrate the Epiphany of our Lord, which means Jesus was revealed not only to one people, but to all nations. May our response to Jesus’ presence be like that of the wise men. Worship the Savior of the nations with us on Sunday at 8 or 10:30 (Thursday worship resumes January 9).

Worship

Resources and opportunities for you to worship

Christmas thank you
“For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given!” The miracle of our Savior’s birth is still ringing through the air. Many St. Andrew members showed their thankfulness to Jesus throughout the month of December, including about 70 music team and choir members, many of whom served multiple times. To ALL who served this Christmas season—greeters, ushers, musicians, choirs, AV experts, videographers, artists, decorators, worship folder assemblers, lay readers, counters, and so many more—THANK YOU! All glory to the newborn King!

Taking down Christmas trees
After worship on Sunday, January 5, we will be taking down our three Christmas trees. If you and your family are willing to help with one of the trees, or if you could help take the trees back to storage, please contact Minister of Worship Naomi Laabs.

Milestones
The funeral for Samuel Dyer was on Monday, December 23. Here is a link to the service.

Ellen Soukup and Erik Goetz were married on Saturday, December 28.

Worship check-in
If you worship on-site, please fill out the Connection Card attached to your worship folder. Online worshipers, please continue to check in here.

Epiphany worship songs
Preview some of the songs we will use for worship on Sunday. Obviously ours won’t sound exactly like this, but listening to the links provided will certainly help you be more comfortable participating in the service.

St. Andrew Growth Groups are returning! Whether you are a Growth Group regular or have never been in one, find one that works for you. Growth Groups benefit your faith and the faith of others. To learn more about St. Andrew Growth Groups, go here. Sign up in the atrium beginning January 5.

Grow in Grace
Grow in Grace returns with The Hidden God on January 12 at 9:30 in the sanctuary. The focus will be on the hidden ways God and his love come into our lives. If you were unable to attend in December, it is perfectly fine to attend.

Impact podcast
To start the new year, Impact is going back into the wonderful book of Hebrews. Listen to Pastor Greg Lyon from Wisconsin Lutheran College share insights on selected verses that highlight the work of our Savior Jesus. You can listen to Impact here or by searching for “Kjenstad Impact” wherever you listen to podcasts.

Service & Outreach

Opportunities for you to live your faith and love for Jesus by sharing Jesus with others

One body, many parts | service survey
How’s this for a resolution? The survey is a tool for you to let us know areas in which you might like to serve. Some are recurring; others are situational. The responses have been used successfully many times, allowing lots of members to find new ways to serve. But the greater the response, the greater the ministry. So, if you still have not, please take the survey and help us get you serving.
