This Sunday

Eager expectations
You know what it’s like to groan. When what you feel is beyond words, a groan will have to do. In Romans 8, Paul writes about groaning. Paul, creation, and the Holy Spirit groan. But God not only knows about your groaning, he is eager to encourage you and remind you that you are not alone or empty. You have Jesus as your substitute now, and you have future glory. Join your brothers and sisters in worship this Thursday at 7 PM or Sunday at 8 & 10:30 AM. Through the Word and sacrament you receive, God removes the heaviness of life and gives you grace, hope, and healing.

Call acknowledgment
Dear Members of St. Andrew,I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge that I have received the divine call to serve you as the Pastor for Service and Outreach. It is incredibly humbling that you, led by the Holy Spirit, feel that I could lead and serve God’s people in Middleton in this way.Over the next couple of weeks, I will be examining where my gifts lie, and where I can best use those gifts at this time to serve the Lord. I’ll constantly be praying that the Lord lead me to where he wants me to be right now. My prayer is that through this process, more and more people’s lives are changed as they come to know the power of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.

For now, I ask that you continue to keep my family and me in your prayers as I deliberate. I look forward to talking with you all.

God bless,
Stephen Apt

Resources and opportunities for you to worship

Passion Points of View | Wednesday Lent devotions
Who doesn’t wish you could have witnessed the events of Jesus’ life? Because Jesus took on a human body to become our Savior, he can’t be available at all times for all people to see. Human bodies have limitations. Yet, eyewitness accounts survive. People were there. They saw and heard. Spend a half hour each Wednesday for the six weeks before Good Friday and Easter to see and hear from their points of view. Let the Spirit use the Word he gave to inspire a growing faith in you so that you appreciate all the more what he did on Good Friday and greet him with resurrection excitement on Easter Sunday.Gather with your St. Andrew family at either 5 PM (this service will be live streamed) or 6:30 PM on Wednesdays from March 2 to April 6.·  March 2: Peter in the Garden of Gethsemane
·  March 9: John as Jesus was arrested
·  March16: Joseph of Arimathea and Jesus’ trial
·  March 23: Barabbas and Jesus before Pilate
