This Week

There’s nobody like Jesus
No one else with all authority in heaven and on earth saw his followers abandon him yet gave his life for them. On Maundy Thursday, Jesus extended his hand as if to wave goodbye and say, “I’ll see you later in Galilee.” The following day, he extended his hands to die on a cross. Three days later, he did indeed “see them later.” By his death, Jesus paid the penalty for your sin—you have no reason to fear God’s judgment. By his resurrection, Jesus defeated death for you—you have no reason to fear death. He’s that merciful and that strong. There’s nobody like Jesus. Gather with the saints to remember and worship:

  • Good Friday, April 7 | 1:00 & 6:30 PM (livestream at 1:00 PM)
  • Easter Sunday, April 9 | 7:30, 9:00, 10:30 AM (livestream at 9:00 AM)
    Breakfast served 8:15 – 10:15 AM

Nurture

Ways to be connected to Jesus throughout the week in your personal life and with others

Small Talk
Small Talk is a St. Andrew podcast where children share the good news about Jesus. Listen to this all-new Holy Week episode with Solomon. He helps us understand why Jesus died on the cross and what it means that Jesus is alive! Small Talk is available here or wherever you listen to podcasts by searching “Small Talk Kamin.”

Children’s books
If you are in church with your young children on Easter Sunday, help them find a book to take home. These books help children understand what Easter is all about. Read it to your child or let him/her read it to you. Talk with your child about what it means that Jesus is alive! Books will be in the atrium for children up to grade 3.

Grow Through Your Grief
Death is a certainty in life, but that makes it no less painful or difficult to deal with when someone you love dies. Have you lost a loved one? Do you struggle with God’s plan for your life now that your future looks different than you planned? If you can relate, join us for a time of fellowship and remembrance at St. Andrew on April 29 from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM. Connect with fellow believers who understand what you are going through. Receive comfort from God’s Word and each other and grow through your grief for the days ahead.

Lunch will be served. Please register here by Wednesday, April 26.

Impact
Jesus is the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. His blood was shed for you. Listen to part two on the Passover lamb with Pastor John Boggs from Luther Prep. You can find our St. Andrew podcast Impact here or wherever you listen to podcasts by searching “Kjenstad Impact.”

Service & Outreach

Opportunities for you to live your faith and love for Jesus by sharing Jesus with others

Easter pinwheels
The words and works of Jesus have moved a family to donate decorative pinwheels as an emblem of Easter, a reminder of the resurrection of Jesus. Please take one from outside and put it in your own yard as a testimony to your faith not being in vain. Christ is risen.

Monthly Mission Partner
Our April partner is Central African Medical Mission. CAMM has been using the constant need for medical attention and expertise as a bridge to the gospel for over 60 years, primarily in Malawi and Africa. Find out more about CAMM on their website and by viewing the video below.

2023 St. Andrew Mission Trips
Mission Madison for middle school students. Sienna, Texas, and Wesley Chapel, Florida, for teens. Brandon, South Dakota, for adults. Rare opportunities to grow in faith, encourage others, and serve.
