This Week

Holy Week services
Celebrate Jesus’ death and resurrection with us from the points of view of those who were there.

Easter breakfast | 8:30 – 10:15 AM
After a two-year break, we will again be able to enjoy Easter breakfast prepared by Chef Kevin Ostrand and his kitchen crew headed up by Sous-Chef Caryn Ostrand. Invite your neighbors and friends to join you in celebrating the empty tomb and Easter breakfast served from 8:30 – 10:15 AM (please note the corrected times).

There are still a few open serving spots to help make this breakfast possible. If you are able to help in either of the following ways, please email St. Andrew Administrative Assistant Amy Hutter by Thursday.

  • Easter breakfast clean-up crew—Sunday 8:30 – 10:15 AM
  • Easter breakfast take-down crew—Sunday 10:15 – 11:30 AM

Children’s Easter books
Pick up a book for your child(ren) on Easter Sunday in the atrium. These books tell the true story about Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. Have your child pick up his/her favorite. The books are for children ages 3 – 9 as a gift from St. Andrew Children’s Ministries.

St. Andrew podcasts – Small Talk and Impact
To learn more about Palm Sunday, listen to our St. Andrew podcasts. This week on Small Talk, Adler is our special guest. He will bring a smile to your face with his enthusiastic love for Jesus. You can listen to Small Talk here or wherever you listen to podcasts (search “Kjenstad Impact”). This week on Impact, the guest is Professor Stephen Geiger from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. Listen as he tells us about the man who rode a donkey into Jerusalem amid shouts of praise some 2,000 years ago and what it all means. Click here for Impact.

Worship Check-in
If you worship on-site, please fill out the Connection Card attached to your worship folder. Online worshipers, please continue to check in here.

Holy Week worship songs
Preview a few of the songs we will use during Holy Week here. Of course, we will sing many familiar songs and hymns throughout the week, but here are a few less familiar songs we will use to worship Jesus as well. Obviously, ours won’t sound exactly like these, but listening to the links provided will certainly help you be more comfortable participating in the service.

Broken and Poured Out” by Kevin Bueltmann
How Deep the Father’s Love for Us” by Stuart Townend
Power of the Cross” by Stuart Towned, Keith Getty
Watch the Lamb” by Ray Boltz
Christ Is Risen, He Is Risen, Indeed!” by Ed Cash, Keith & Kristyn Getty
Christ the Lord Is Risen Today (He’s Alive)” by Kirk Kirkland
Because He Lives” by Matt Maher
I Will Rise” by Chris Tomlin

Pinwheel gift
Children, please take home a pinwheel from the entrance garden after the Easter worship service. A family worshiping with you today donated them so you would have a special joyful reminder of the Good News. Put it in your yard, and when someone asks you about it, just say, “He is risen!”

First Group
Have you been curious about Christianity, but don’t know much about it? Have you been visiting St. Andrew and want to know about this church and what we believe? Maybe you know you want to join our family of faith already but don’t know what to do next? Or maybe it’s just been a while since you’ve reviewed the Bible from front to back? If any of these questions describe you, then First Group is for you. We’ll meet for 12 Sunday mornings, 9:30 – 10:15 AM, beginning Sunday, May 1. Yes, this spans the beginning of summer and maybe your vacation plans, too. Don’t let that stop you. When you can’t be here in person, you can keep up on your own and jump in again when you’re back. To register, please reply to [email protected]
