Have you been to Starting Point? If not, the journey begins there! First Group is our second step in walking as a disciple of Christ at St. Andrew.
Discipleship is about Life Change
What is a disciple? A disciple is one who follows. Jesus’ first disciples were ordinary men and women who left everything to follow Jesus (Mark 1:18). As we follow Jesus personally, we commit to being his disciples while encouraging each other to grow toward maturity in Christ.
Discipleship is receiving the forgiveness Jesus has won for us on the cross and then growing, by the Holy Spirit’s power, more and more into the likeness of Jesus–all in the context of the loving, extended family of your local church. And as Jesus says, discipleship begins in Baptism!
Baptism
We baptize all ages, from infants to elderly. All of us, regardless of age, are broken by sin and unable to save ourselves. Baptism is the means by which God mysteriously and officially connects us to the forgiveness of Jesus and marks us a member of his family.
Your journey with Jesus begins in Baptism. If you’d like to know more about Baptism, Pastor Kelly would love to share more information with you
First Group
If you’ve been to Starting Point, First Group is the next step toward joining the St. Andrew family. First Group follows our Growth Group schedule and runs about 12 weeks. In this study, we walk through God’s story and study together as disciples of Jesus to see what he has to say about himself and how his Word impacts our daily lives.
First Group meets in homes and at St. Andrew and is led by Pastor Hunter and Pastor Kelly.
