Why Christians Give

First it must be said that Christians believe that everything is owned by God in the first place, and that we are simply managers of his resources, called to direct them toward that which aligns with his will. (Psalm 24:1)

Secondly, Christians trust that God has generously given us his son, Jesus, and through him has already met our deepest needs.

In light of these truths, Jesus makes it clear to his followers that spirituality and generosity are inseparable. (Luke 6:38)

Likewise God has ordered the world in such a way that he works through the sacrifice and generosity of his people to meet the needs of others and, in particular, to fuel the mission of his church.

When such spirituality connected with generosity is lived out, the end results are beautiful. Entire communities are blessed, the local church is well equipped, and the Christian giver glorifies God who delights in our willingness to give toward the needs of others and to depend deeply upon him. (2 Corinthians 9:6-11; Malachi 3:10)

How To Give

The easiest way to give is online: it’s secure, it’s simple, and it ensures consistent giving. St. Andrew can receive monetary gifts online by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). Likewise, you can choose to give a one-time gift or to establish recurring gifts at an interval of your choosing. To give online, go here.

Many financial institutions offer this free automatic service. With this feature, you can authorize your bank or credit union to provide recurring payments to the recipients you indicate. This is convenient for you and maintains St. Andrew’s ability to continue ministry even when you are traveling for business or pleasure. In the memo line please designate the gift to St. Andrew.

Automated Clearing House (ACH) provides regular, automatic withdrawals from your bank account with a direct deposit to St. Andrew. Our financial team will assist in setting this up. Contact the St. Andrew office for more information.

Simply bring cash or checks to any of our Sunday gatherings and place them in the drop box at the Welcome Center or the offering basket during the service. If giving cash, please make use of one of the envelopes we handout at worship so that we have the ability to provide you an end-of-year tax receipt. If you’d like a supply to have at home please let the church office know an they would be happy to provide you with a stack of  12, 26, 52, or a number of your choosing.

You can mail a check, made out to “St. Andrew,” to 6815 Schneider Rd. Middleton, WI 53562
